Tasks and objectives of German Customs

<< zur Übersicht

German customs is responsible, among many other tasks, for monitoring and controlling the movement of goods in and out of Germany. This primarily involves the collection of tax revenue, which serves as a source of income for the state. On the other hand, customs also protects the population by preventing the import of prohibited or dangerous items, such as illegal drugs and weapons. Companies can perform customs clearance using the Atlas software or have it done by a customs service provider.
